Sports Massage

Sports massage can be used to prevent injury or aid recovery from injury, an event or as part of a long term training programme. It is not just for elite athletes but the average club player as well.

Sports massage is a form of massage which focuses on muscle systems used in sporting activities. It can combine Swedish style massage with trigger points compression and electro-muscular techniques to reduce soreness and help enhance power, endurance, flexibility and freedom of movement.

Treatment time:  75 minutes


Acute Soft Tissue Sports / Strapping


Strapping sports injuries is appropriate for: -

  • Post injury
  • Preventative, either following a previous injury or to prevent injury

Aims of the treatment: -

  • To prevent further tissue damage
  • To initially reduce swelling and later assist in the removal of swelling
  • To ease pain
  • To prevent los of joint range of motion

Strapping has been used in the treatment, management and prevention of sports injuries for many years.  Studies have shown that taping is very effective at reducing injuries.
